Reaching out to a Community of Support

Welcome to Anthony’s Carelines page! Thank you for coming to support Anthony in his journey of recovery. Here you can:

Anthony started his journey at the beginning of the year with Back pain while at work. He left work and went to his Chiropractor, primary care Physician, Urgent care, and finally the emergency room where he was eventually diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. From there he was referred to an oncologist at WellStar Cobb Northwest Georgia Oncology where the initial diagnosis was confirmed. After meeting with his oncologist, a treatment plan was made. He immediately started immunotherapy treatment that consisted of multiple cycles, each cycle a combination of pills at home and injections in the hospital. Which caused him to miss numerous days of work. After 4 cycles he was referred to another Oncologist at Emory Hospital for a Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) transplant. There he was then given a central line and medication and injections to prepare for Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (HCT) collection. On July 12th, he was given chemo, and his good HCT previously collected was transplanted back into his body on July 14th. The financial burden will take a toll on him because he has used up all of his paid time off that’s why he reached out to the Bone Marrow & Cancer Foundation for help with accommodations and to set up a page to fundraise.
