Estate Planning
Include The Bone Marrow Foundation in your estate planning
Planned Giving is another way that you can help, by arranging for future gifts of money, securities or other forms of property. This can be an important part of estate planning, resulting in immediate tax benefits for you as a donor, or later for your estate, and an assured source of future funding for The Bone Marrow Foundation.
A bequest provision in a will is the most common form of Planned Giving. These gifts enable donors to make significant contributions that may not have been possible during their lifetimes. The gift can take a number of forms. A specific dollar amount, or a percentage of the estate, or a percentage of the residue of the estate after other bequests are fulfilled.
Other ways of giving for the future include: Life insurance policies where the charity can be named as the beneficiary; Gifts of appreciated securities or real estate; Charitable gift annuities; Charitable remainder annuity trusts; Charitable remainder unitrusts and Charitable lead trusts. Of course you should always consult a financial advisor or attorney about the tax benefits of such gifts.
